CC2642R: Could CC2642R support 2.4GHz Proprietary mode ?

Hi team,

Customer ask if CC2642R can support 2.4GHz Proprietary ?

On SmartRF Studio, only BLE mode.

For CC2652R, I can see 2.4GHz Proprietary mode. The typical settings only have 100 kbps, 250 kbps.Can CC2652R support 2.4GHz Proprietary with 1MHz data rate ?

For 2.4GHz proprietary mode, the customer should use CC2652R.

There is an example of `HS Mode` (up to 4 Mbit/s) in the rfPacketErrorRate example, here: https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=AGEOMaEFaRbtI0W5w7DMNw__pTTHBmu__LATEST However, this uses BLE rf commands. In Sub-1GHz Prop RF mode we can go up to 1Mbps. 2.4GHz prop RF mode can go up to 150kbps.

The specification of CC2642R shows its supporting 2.4 GHz Proprietary. (pls see in section 1.3)

Howard,

In Section 3, you can see a table (Table 3-1) that compares all the devices. The CC2642R does support 2.4GHz proprietary mode, but it's not supported in SmartRF studio. I will reach out to the SmartRF Studio team to see if it is possible to add proprietary mode support fro CC2642R.
