CC2652R: While Simple_Peripheral project enable PTM, CC2652 cannot connect to the master

Hi team,

Customer would like to add PTM into Simple_Peripheral. With SDK4.20, the PTM can be enabled by SysConfig (as below link). However, after enable PTM by SysConfig, the CC2652 cannot be connected by the master. We use LiteBlue as master.

Hi Jerry,

Is the peripheral device still advertising and what kind of error message are you getting when trying to connect? If you have any sniffer logs, can you share them?

Can you see the peripheral device on the phone?

Have you tried any other phones or apps?

At iPhone, LiteBlue can see the Simple Peripheral device.

We try 3 iPhones. All are the same problem.

Thanks for your patience.

Unfortunately, I cannot open the files. I have the ComProbe Protocol Analysis System downloaded (which I assume is what you mean by Frontline sniffer) but I cannot open the files there. Do you have any other sniffer captures or can you convert them to a format that I can open?

Hi Jerry,

Do you change any application? In my experiment, you should create a scenario to enter PTM mode(exp. detect button when power on). You can refer your wiki

Thanks for your remind. I know this.

The scenario is after enable PTM by SysConfig, the CC2652 cannot be connected by the master (LiteBlue). The basic connection function cannot work. I haven't verify PTM.

Hi Jerry,

After enable PTM in sysconfig, if you disable HCI_EXT_EnablePTMCmd() the application can connect with iPhone. As my understanding, you only can enter one of them(PTM mode or application mode).

Yes, after comment out " HCI_EXT_EnablePTMCmd();", CC2652 cannot be connected. Thank you.

It seems the example code don't check the GPIO during bootup, then directly enter PTM.
