CC2564C: Bluetooth dual-mode stack

Been looking around a lot and cannot find a description of how bluetooth dual-mode is implemented. I can see two possibilities: 1) BLE is implemented over the BDR/EDR PHY and shares a common L2CAP with classic BT, or 2) There's an arbitrator somewhere that timeslices the radio between classic and BLE.

Any info or docs describing how dual-mode works in practice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I did find this picture for the CC2564, which seems to show that BLE would come in over the HCI block to BR/EDR and that maybe there is some PHY switching. Again, I'd be thankful for any solid info/documentation you might have in hand, re. how dual mode is implemented.

Yes, dual mode devices time share the RF between BR/EDR (classic) and LE PHY. Both LE and Classic share Link manager and HCI layers. The FW implementation is chip vendor specific and proprietary.
