CC2540: SmartRF Flash Programmer unable to detect CC2540 USB dongle

Part Number: CC2540

System is a Windows 10 64-bit . I installed the BLE stack, BTool and SmartRF Tools. I installed the drivers on my computer, BTool is working but I run the SmartRF Flash Programmer it is unable to detect USB dongle. I am missing something, but I am not sure what it is. I would appreciate any help.

You need to connect CC Debugger to your CC2540 USB dongle to make Flash Programmer to recognize it, which you can refer to CC2540 USB Evaluation Kit Quick Start Guide.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I am connected to the CC Debugger while I am trying to flash the dongle. The CC Debugger shows a green light but the dongle light is red. If I connect the cable in reverse the CC Debugger light goes turns red. Also this is the way the instructions show the CC Debugger should connect to the dongle.

Can you see CC Debugger on Wondows Device Manager -> Cebal Controlled devices?

Thank you for your help. I hate to admit, but my problem was a simple mistake. I was getting the power for the CC Debugger from an outside source rather than connecting the debugger directly to the same computer where my USB dongle was connected. Once I connected the CC debugger's USB to my laptop the problem was resolved. Thank you once again.
