CC2564MODA: Input Slow clock

Can we provide CC2564MODA slow clock input with 32KHZ only instead of 32.768KHZ in datasheet.
I would like to provide 32KHZ from STM32L451 clock output.
It will really matter as 32.768 can only be provided by adding external clock.
please if we can have this info as soon as possible

Hi,

32.768KHz is used for RTC ( Real time clock). If your application requires accurate timing then 32.768KHz should be used.

Please refer to data sheet for 32.768KHz clock requirements.

Can you elaborate more ? what do you mean by If I require accurate timing?
and what will happen if 32KHZ is used ? will the Bluetooth audio transmission will be fine?

Hi Hanna,

Per that datasheet the slow clock accuracy to needs to be within +/-250PPM. Using a 32KHz clock will cause you to be outside of this range as it is the reference clock for other modes of operation within the device. The requirement is to have a 32.768kHz clock with +/-250PPM over aging, temp and drift.
