Iar 7.51 not recognizes the CC debugger.

Hello,

Today I had some problems with my computer and I reformated it and reinstall the Iar 7.51 but now when I try debug the program the box showed below appears and the debug mode doesn´t enter because the Iar doesn´t recognizes the CC Debugger. I checked if the Cebal driver is correctly installed and it´s fine.

After instalation, I copied the files from EW8051-7.51M-EV to IAR 7.51 installation directory to compile to support the CC2540 chip.

Did someone face this problem? How can I do to fix it?

Are you able to use TI Smart RF flash programmer? You should also verify you get a a green light on the CC debugger.

Hi Greg,

I´m able to use TI Smart RF flash programmer and I verified the color led. I got a green light on the CC debugger.

Have you installed all of the necessary patches for IAR v7.51A?

1. Follow this link: http://supp.iar.com/MyPages/
2.    Log in with email address and password
3.    At the bottom of the page there will be two links: “Information on latest version (7.60)” and “All available versions”. Click the link for “All available versions”
4.    There should now be a list of several version of IAR. Click the link for “7.51A”
5.    There should now be a list of 6 downloadable items. The first is for the IAR installer itself, which it appears he already has. Download items 4 (“Update for Texas Instruments debugger driver”, 5 (“IAR Systems Embedded Workbench for 8051 patch 7.51L”), and 6 (“IAR Systems Embedded Workbench for 8051 patch 7.51M”)

Hi,

I installed all necessary patches for IAR v7.5A. I copied the files that are showed below from EW8051-7.51M-EV to their respectives directories at IAR instalation path.

1) I copied ioCC2540.h to inc directory

2) I copied lnk51ew_cc2540b.xcl lnk51ew_cc2540.xcl to
config directory

3) I copied CC2540.i51 CC2540.ddf to config/devices/Texas
Instruments directory

4) I substitute 8051emu_cc.dll .

But now, the program returns the message showed below:

Do someone have ideas to solve this problem?

Hello,

the picture is a little fuzzy, but i found the file 8051emu_cc.dll?

C:\Program Files\IAR Systems\EW8051-7.60\8051\bin

Note - I'm using 7.60, so you could try an evaluation installation of that + patches. Sorry, but I'm not sure what may be going wrong here.

I am having this same problem, but with programming the CC1111 USB dongle. I tried installing the patches, but I still get the same blank "target selection" dialog shown in the first comment. I am using IAR 7.51 eval (8051)

I've got the same problem like you. Someone told me it's neccesary tu update the IAR version from 7.51A to 7.51M at least or newer.However, I couldn't find that patch to update my IAR. Does anyone where to find it???
