CC2652RB: Chip antenna recommendation

Hi,

the customer would like to use the BALF-CC26-05D3 balun in this design.

1) can you recommend a chip antenna to pair with this balun? perhaps Johanson 2450AT18D0100_STD-R?

2) is there a CC26xx reference design that uses chip antenna? I'm not sure what passives to use between the balun and the chip antenna.

Hi,

Yes, they can use Johanson Chip Antenna.

They can put PI network as a place holder in front of the Antenna for Antenna matching. This PI network is also recommended by Johanson in their data sheet.

Please refer to Antenna section in SWRA640 for PI network and antenna matching.
