CC2642R: Error in Btool application

Thanks for the description and the screenshot. I will assign an expert to follow up.

It looks like you don't have a connection to your board at all. Please confirm what serial port it is using. I recommend to connect the board directly to you computer, and not through a hub, if any (I see COM42, which is suspect).

Also, can you please use TI's Flash Programmer 2 to perform a mass erase on the Flash memory? Then, reprogram the board with the host test app.

Do your use CC2640R2 or you use CC2642? There is mismatch on your Part number and description. Can you confirm what HW you use first?

Then, you should use host_test_app.hex in C:\ti\simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_4_30_00_54\examples\rtos\CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL\ble5stack\hexfiles instead of using CC2640R2 SDK.

We flashed the hex file from C:\ti\simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_4_30_00_54\examples\rtos\CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL\ble5stack\hexfiles as you mentioned. Issue is still the same.

I remember TI doesn't offer CC2642R1 evaluation kit. Can you take a picture to show me your CC2642R1 evaluation kit?

The actual part number is CC2652R1F. We confirmed it using uniflash tool.

It is mentioned as CC2642R1F/CC2652R1F on the box. So i was little confused with the part number.

Try to run Run_BTool.bat under C:\ti\simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_4_30_00_54\tools\ble5stack\btool to start BTool to see if it works.

After you download hest_test.hex into your CC2652R EVB, do you close CCS, Flash Programmer2, Uniflash or other TI tool before you run Run_BTool.bat under C:\ti\simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_4_30_00_54\tools\ble5stack\btool? I just test these steps on my CC2652 LaunchPad and it works fine.

We have made sure that all other TI applications are closed after flashing is done using Uniflash tool. The issue is still same. Device is not connected to hub but directly connected to the USB port.

Do you have any suggestions for us?

As YK mentioned, be sure to use the BTool version that is located in the SDK that you are flashing the device with. Along with the advice given thus far, I would recommend trying a different USB cable if possible. This OOTB experience works on my end as well, so there must be something acting up within your setup.
