CC2652RB: TI driver needed?

Hello,
customer has to control a control loop over radio between 2 devices with proprietary 2.4GHz stack. He wants to program on register level w/o RTOS and TI driver to have a faster and more deterministic control loop. Does he have to use the TI driver? Can he program on register level, writing his own API? Do we have an example project on register level?

We do not have Prop RF SDK examples for the CC2652RB device. If you need a proprietary RF example with no RTOS, I'd recommend looking at the CC2652R1 device. There are several example using RF drivers that would be a good starting point for understanding how to use the low-level RF Commands.

You can use the RF Commands directly using runCmd(), postCmd(), etc. as shown in the examples and documentation.

Hello Daniel,
is migration from the CC2652R1 to CC2652RB easy? Only switching the crystal clock to BAW?

Can I use the CC2652RB also as simple 2.4GHz transceiver (proprietary) in combination with a host MCU (NPI)? Do we have an example for that?

Good catch! The rfEasyLinkNP is a good starting point for a project like that. You can also look at our Connectivity Plugins and the TI 15.4 Linux Gateway
