CC2640: recognized as CC2650 by SmarfRF studio 7

Hi,

My customer is using CC2640 and trying to check basic RF function via SmartRF studio 7.

But they found it is recognized as CC2650.

Please help to provide suggestion.

Which version of SmartRF Studio 7 do you use? Basically, BLE RF functionality of CC2640 and CC2650 are the same so it's not a problem that SmartRF Studio 7 recognize CC2640 as CC2650. I suppose you still can use SmartRF Studio 7 to do RF test.

If they see CC2650 in SmartRF Studio and cc2640 is printed on the packet this indicate that the wires to the JTAG interface is too long.
