Part Number: CC2564

Hi There,

we are using CC2564 bluetooth module for our project based on i.MX6ul processor. we are trying to test CC2564 using HCItester tool , but we are unable to load .bts file into the module.

Need support in downloading .bts file into CC2564 module and enabling bluetooth communication using HCItester tool.

Also Need support in flashing the .bts file to CC2564 module using linux.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Uttej,

    1. How are you trying to load the BTS file?
    2. What happens when you try to load the BTS file?
    3. What exactly are you trying to do with HCI tester?

Please answer these questions so I can better assist you.

  • Hi Jesu,

we are able to get the first response after making the shutdown low and then high. We are getting response only when we reset the shutdown pin. The attached is the response from the Bluetooth module.

As requested please find the below.

    1. We have followed the steps which we given in the HCI tester document.

    2. The Bluetooth module is connected to PC using USB to TTL converter which is having CTS & RTS also.

    3. We have downloaded the XML & BTS files from the TI website and using HCI tester we have tried to flash the BTS file into the module

    4. TInit_6.12.26.BTS is the file which we are trying to download into the Bluetooth module.

    5. It is showing error as below

    "ERRORed Line(24): SEND_HCI_VS_Update_Uart_HCI_Buadrate 0xFF36, 0x000Ic200"

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Uttej

  • Hi Uttej,

Thanks for responding. Have you verified you are following the correct power up sequence? Refer to this link for details. For downloading the service pack file (.bts) to the CC2564, it must be done right after the power up sequence. Refer to the "device initialization procedure" section for a quick summary on this.

Also Need support in flashing the .bts file to CC2564 module using linux.

What Bluetooth stack are you using on your Linux host? If you are using Bluetopia one way to do is is by powering on our device through our application demo.
