CC2640R2F: Flash Size Reduction

Hello,

We have an existing design in production that requires a firmware update to address the SweynTooth susceptibility.

We are updating using the latest SDK and as a result, we can no longer fit our application code in memory.

Is there a way to address this that does not involve updating the chip to the CC2642 as the hardware is already in production?

Hi,

My first answer was probably a bit too short.

I should have asked you which SDK version you are using.

It would also be helpful if you could specify how much flash needs to be saved or if you could provide an extract of your map file.

We are using the latest sdk simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_4_30_00_08 and please find the attached map file.

Hi,

Thanks for the provided details.

From my understanding you need to save 600 bytes of Flash. Am I correct?

I think you should manage to save the requested flash using the thread I mentioned before :)
