CC2642R: Device access failure of SmartRF Studio

Part Number: CC2642R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640R2F, , UNIFLASH, FLASH-PROGRAMMER, CCSTUDIO

Team,

My customer who develops the wireless board using the CC2640R2 is facing the SmartRF Studio issue.
The “Device access failure” is appeared in case of opening the Device Control Panel. They have checked the JTAG connection and conflict other tool. Are there any other settings that should be checked?

Regards,
Nonaka

  • Hey Nonaka,

Please have the customer confirm whether they are using a CC2642R or CC2640R2F device.  Are they using a LaunchPad or custom PCB, and have they previously been able to program/debug firmware for the device inside CCSTUDIO, UNIFLASH, or FLASH-PROGRAMMER 2?  Make sure that all other programs have been closed/disconnected, the correct device type is selected in SMARTRF-STUDIO, and this is the only board currently connected to the system.

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Hi,
It worked fine after customer tried mass-erase.
    Thanks,
