Hi,

I realized a ble project with custom profiles, and I connect me to the CC2640 with custom APP, now I want add a SPP profile to read data from CC2640 with a generic APP which are on the play store.

I read that Bluetooth Low Energy does not have a standard SPP service, but I find that the SPP service is 0x1101, so can I add a service with UUID: 00001101-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB and expose this in advertising and can the App connect at the device?

Hi,

Yes, the Bluetooth Low Energy does not have a standard SPP service as you mentioned above. I don't expect that simply assigning the UUID will work, as you will have to mimic the RFCOMM protocol since the Android side of the connection will expect this.
