CC2642R: issue in flashing hex via serial

HI everybody ,

I need to perform the fw upgrade (starting from a .hex file) of the CC2642 installed on my board , where I don’t have the JTAG interface, but only serial pins availble

I m trying to use the follow setup but it is not working , why ? ( I m using a LP as bridge PC to my board )

SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 ver. 1.8.2
LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 (with all the jumpers that do the connection with the CC2652 removed)
Connections between launchpad and CC2642 in meter module:

GND and 3.3V
UAR interface (RX and TX line)
RESET
SBWTCK line connected to 3.3V.

any other way I can make it ? anything I shoudl check ?

Does the firmware running on your custom CC2642 enable BL on CCFG? If not, I am afraid that you need to use Jtag to upload firmware instead of serial BL.

Hi,

Perhaps you should mass erase the device first. Also, make sure to enter bootloader mode you have grounded DIO11 while doing reset.

I don’t see anything missed in your steps.

I don’t think Carlo can do mass erase since he mentioned there’s no JTag connection in the beginning of his issue.
