CC1352P: How to disable ER/BDR Mode in CC1352P

Hello Team,

We are using Host test Example of simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_4_20_01_04.

When we configure it as a Pheripheral device using HCI command and check the broadcast at nRF connect app it shows device type as Classic and LE.

We want to brodcast in LE mode only Please suggest us that how can we enable same.

Hi Vijendra,

Can you please post your advertising data array please?

I believe you can OR the GAP_ADTYPE_FLAGS_BREDR_NOT_SUPPORTED flag with the existing ADTYPE flag. This is a define within gap.h which indicates the discovery mode that er/bdr is not supported.

Hi Vijendra,

I believe this is the recommended method of disabling ER/EDR. However, I apologize for the miscommunication on my first post. Instead of manually ORing this flag to the generated advertising data array, you can make the modification through SysConfig.

Navigate to your .syscfg file in your project and access Broadcaster Configuration which should be located under the BLE tab. Under Broadcaster Configuration -> Advertisement Data, there is a parameter called Advertising Flags where you can disable BR/EDR.

After enabling BR/EDR Not Supported, saving the .sysconfig file, and rebuilding the project, the advertising data array should be generated with the BR/EDR not supported flag.

I have one more query that When I run GapDevice_Init command with Random Adderess mode It gives error response as Invalid parameter.

Please help me that How can I Run this with Random adderess mode Intstead of Public address mode.

Hi Vijendra,

Can you please share which device address mode you are initializing GAP_DeviceInit() with please?
