CC2640R2F: Exposed Ground Pad Connection

Hi,

I am looking to integrate CC2640R2F (RGZ) package in my 4 layer PCB designed using KiCAD. I got the following footprint from UltraLibrarian which has through-hole pads (labeled as V) for the exposed ground pad. The pad settings are shown in the screenshot below? Are these through hole pads enough for the connecting the exposed ground pad or do I need to add separate vias to connect the pad?

Hi Nosherwan,

Can you please reattach your screen cap? I suspect the vias included in the footprint are sufficient, but I'd like to take a look just to be sure.

Hi Alexis,

Please find the attached screen captures. From the pad properties screen capture, the vias don't seem to be electrically connected

Hi Nosherwan,

The vias included in the footprint should be sufficient. Just be sure to provide an undisturbed GND plane under the device as well. Here are some additional resources:
