CC2652P: Balun

I would like to ask you a couple of questions:

1. We designed and it is working a design based on the CC2652P. For the 20dBm PA RF matching, we used a combination of discretes components because Texas Instruments had not been approved any balun. Have you already released an approve balun for this RF output?.

2. This 20dBm PA RF port, is it only for transmissión?....so could we only use it for advertisement packets?.

Hi,

Please refer to the CC1352P design which also supports CC2652P devices. www.ti.com/.../LAUNCHXL-CC1352P

20dBm port is used for TX purposes.

Customer used this design as reference, but this one is not using an integrated RF balun to adapt the antenna. That is why he was asking if Texas Instruments had already approved a commercial balun. This would allow them to save space. thanks for your feedback.

Hi,

We haven't approved the IPC for +20dBm yet. They need to use Discrete Balun only from our reference design at this time.
