use smartRF stuido continous TX mode  can not  output advertising packets. 

1. host need any app ?

2. how to use smart RF to test frequency deviation?

    Hi,

    Continuous Tx mode can be used for RF testing. This is useful for RF Validation and in certification testing.

    If you want to test packets, then use Packet Tx mode and set the Packet Count to infinite.

    Also please make sure you select the same Channel / Frequency on both Launchpad and BLE Tester.

    And also, if you are testing in conductive mode (Cable from Launchpad to BLE tester) then you need to turn C14 (12pF) to C24 location in order to use P11 (RF Connector). Please refer to  Launchpad Schematic for details.
