CC2640R2F: Debug mode faster than release

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Hi everyone,

I develop a BLE app on a CC2640R2 chip and I'm encountered an issue.

I measure the bluetooth transmission frequency

When the application is in debug, the transmission frequency is higher than when I am not in debug.

I'm a begineer but it's strange for me.

This is due to a configuration issue? or the debugger is forcing the clock faster?

Thanks a lot,

Victor

  • Hey Victor,

May I ask what/how you are measuring the "transmission frequency"? I don't think there should be any significant difference between the two project configurations. You should also try measuring this with the debugger disconnected (i.e. flash the project and power the board without using the debugger).

  • Hi Ammar,

Thanks for your answer, I measure the frequency of BLE's notifications with an Ipad and the LightBlue app.

I get any notifications in the logs with the reception's hours and I can compute an average period.

I think it's more a problem during the acquisition of sensor's values than a wrong Bluetooth configuration.

I tried without the debugger and it's still less efficient than in debug mode.
