Hi Team,

A customer of mine is using CC2640R2L. They want to implement RTC power backup, however,

1. there is no hardware pin right?

2. Can they implement it in SW? Are there any sample/ reference codes for such an implementation? And what would be the power consumption in such an implementation

3. Any other suggested ways of achieving RTC backup?

Hi,

Requirement of the system: When the main supply to the chip is interrupted, there should be a provision to keep the RTC functional through a coin cell, till the time the main power supply is restored.

Hi,

The CC2640R2L has an on-board RTC as well as communication peripherals for controlling an external RTC device. Can you please clarify your specific needs? Refer to the SIMPLELINK-CC2640R2-SDK for all development resources.
