LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: SmartRF Studio 7 installation error

My customer tried to install SmartRF Studio 7 to Rohde&Schwarz CMW270, and encountered following error related to XDS2xx driver.

The OS version of CMW270 is Windows7 64-bit.

Please help resolve the issue.

Shibata,

Is your customer using an XDS2xx emulator/debugger? Or are they using the on-board XDS110 on the CC2640R2 LaunchPad? What troubleshooting steps have you attempted so far?

If they are not using an XDS2xx then it is probably safe to ignore that error.

Hello Daniel,

Customer is not using XDS2xx emulator.

They have LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 and want to use on-board XDS110 emulator.

After selecting "Ignore" and proceed SmartRF Studio7 installation, the on-board XDS110 is not recognized.

They also tried to install Flash Programmer2, but faced the same error during installation.

I wonder if the XDS110 device driver in these packages do not support Windows7 Embedded Standard.

Please let me know your thought.

Shibata,

Windows 7 Embedded is not supported by or tested with our XDS-class Debug Probes.

I suggested customer to use TXD/RXD pins directly for UART.
