CC2652R: Integration issues

hello,

we're developing a BLE application using the CC2652R chip using a custom hardware.

our hardware is derived from the TI reference design without the external LP XOSC.

Our application, and each example project, runs properly on the EVB but doesn't works on the custom hardware: in particular, the advertising phase has been done correcty

but every connection attempt fails.

We've enabled the LP RCOSC with periodical calibration (USE_RCOSC flag) but the effect doesn't change.

can you help me with some tips which i'm ignoring?

Hi Alessio,

The issue you are experiencing seems to be related to the clock accuracy / crystal oscillator. Have you reviewed this app note?

You may also want to review this application note. In addition, this specific part of the User's Guide may help.

To finish, you may be interested to have a review of your HW design layout.

I've implemented all the tips in the application notes.

a question from my side: dispite a good tx power, a poorly adapted antenna can be the root cause?

Hi Alessio,

The problem of connection could be due to some issues with the Antenna in Rx.

You could use SmartRF Studio to verify if you manage to receive some data.
