LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: How to use SBL to flash application without erasing secondary BLE address?

Hi,

I am using "simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_4_40_00_44" to develop my application. We have to use our own BD address in BLE application which been written in secondary BLE address by uniflash by j-tag. Because after product assembly, there is no j-tag but only UART we can use. So I find SBL solution in "ti154stack_linux_x64_4_30_00_06" which also support cc26x2 but once using SBL to flash new image, the secondary BLE address would be erased. Is it possible to flash image without erasing my BLE address?

I am sorry, but I don't understand your question. I am not familiar with what you mean with "SBL". Can you please clarify what you are trying to do? Are you referring to a secondary bootloader?

Before I go into more details, please let me know what you are ultimately trying to do.

Hi Louis,

We use uniFlash to write secondary BLE address but after flashing new image by SBL(serial bootloader by UART), the seconday BLE address would disappear.

Aries,

The secondary BLE address is part of the CCFG page (i.e. the very last page of the flash). As long as the SBL does not write this page, you won't have a problem.

Hi Luis,

How to check my FW would not write this page? Actually we need to update backdoor pin number and the pin number is set in FW. How to update backdoor pin without erasing senondary DB address?

I find that in uni-flash tool, there is a retain option for secondary BLE address, is it also possible to be achieved in SBL flashing?
