I am working on "Multi" project.

BLEstack -> Multirole

Hi,

The Multi is unable to connect with the iPhone, every time an error is coming.

Connection with the Android phone is happening but GATT R/W is not happening.

Steps followed as mentioned in the Readme link: C:\ti\simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_4_10_00_10\examples\rtos\CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL\blestack\multi_role\README.html

1. Is it the case that the Multi will connect with only the Peripheral device only? not with mobile(Android / IOS) phones?

2. Actually I am checking the feasibility of ANCS b/w phone and Launchpad.

I have assigned an expert to help with your query. In the meantime, can you specify if there are any modifications present in the multi_role project? If you are attempting to implement ANCS, then you may find the following GitHub example project useful: https://github.com/ti-simplelink/ble_examples/blob/simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk-2.20/examples/rtos/CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL/bleapps/ancs/readme.md

The example was made for the 2.20 SDK, so you may run into issues with modern iOS devices, but I believe this may be a good reference and starting point for your ANCS implementation.

The SDK in the GitHub example is simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk-2.20 & I am working on simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_4_10_00_10.

So, Will, it going to work ??

I'm sorry for the delay. We're backlogged.

Please carefully go through the instructions on the readme.html that you mentioned. Do you have available multiple LaunchPads? It will make your life easier.

Answering your questions:

1 - No, the LaunchPad with multi_role from SDK 4.10 can perform both roles of peripheral (i.e. advertise and accept connections) and central (discover other connections and request connections). Independently of their GAP role, the device can also perform the roles of GATT server and client.

2- We covered ANCS at this thread.

I really recommend that you take advantage of our SimpleLink Academy. There you should go through the first 4 labs:

Fundamentals
Scanning and Advertising
Connections
Custom Profile

With that and using the User's Guide, you will build the knowledge you need to implement ANCS.
