CC2652R: Project build options when CC2642 migration to the CC2652 takes place

Hello everyone!

I am sorry, but can anyone approve that CC2642R and CC2652R both have the same HAL ? In other words - are there any other differences except the BLE vs BL+802.15.4 ?

I am porting my project from the CC2642R to the CC2652R and I need to be sure, that HAL is the same, memory map and register's map too.

I have checked the datasheets and the CC26X2 -manual - but there are any words about the HAL or any other difference between the CC2652R and the CC2642R. Their pinouts are identical, but what is 'under the cover' ? Maybe all is OK, but I need to be sure - not to fail or burn the chip or break the BL support.

P.S. I have tried the SysConfig chip switching and it switches a lot - from the PIN numbers and so on... Can anyone clear up the migration from the CC2642 to CC2652 building options ? The target config I have already solved.

Hello Anton,

I understand your cause for concern but there should be no difference between using the CC2642R and CC2652R. They are directly compatible, the HAL and memory/register maps are the same, and you will not burn the chip or break BL support.
