Hello,

I am trying to do off-chip oad with phone application. I flashed simple_peripheral_offchip_oad example to my board. I am trying to send my image file to my device by Simplelink SDK Explorer application but application is suddenly collapsing. What should i do ?

Hi Muhammed,

Can you provide some additional clarifications? Is the mobile application not functioning? Are you able to connect to the simple_peripheral device? Is the simple_peripheral device advertising?

Please provide which SDK you are using, along with the mobile application version and what mobile device you are using (iOS/Android).

Hi Ammar,

I am using SDK Explorer app, I am connecting with device, when I select firware source and press begin update button then app is collapsing. Also, about firmware source selection page, there is another section to select device number. There is a switch from MSP432 series to CC26xx. I am switching to CC26xx but device list does not change. Only MSP432 series are listed. Because of that I am selecting custom board. I don't know if it is related with collapsing.

I am using iOS version of app and using Iphone XR, I also tried with iphone 6, too.

Hey Muhammed,

My apologies, I didn't catch this earlier. I would recommend using the Simplelink Starter app instead of the Simplelink SDK explorer as the latter has not been updated in quite some time.

Hey Ammar,

Thank you for your replay. About starter app, how can I OAD my costum project. In app, there is a section called uploaded projects but how can I upload them? I downloaded my phone _oad.bin file but how can I use it from starter app?

Hey Muhammed,

You should be able to find the Simple Starter folder by going to My Files>On My iPhone> Starter. This is where you should store the binary to perform the custom OAD, otherwise the app will not find the binary. From here, the process is the same as if you selected a "Supported Factory Image" that is provided by default in the app.
