CC2541: AoA estimation with key fob

Hello TI-Team,

I want to perform AoA Estimation with the BLE Launchpad and the Key fob kit.

Is the CC2541 in the your Key fob able to transmit the Constant Tone Extension for AoA or not?.

Hi Sebastian,

CC2541 cannot transmit CTEs.

Please review the RTLS examples based on the Bluetooth 5.1 specification which can be used with the CC13x2R and CC26x2R devices. These software examples can be found in the SimpleLink CC13x2 and CC26x2 software development kit 3.40 or later which features a Bluetooth 5.2 qualified stack with support of Bluetooth 5.1 Angle of Arrival.
