TRF7960A: Need Clarification regarding NFC Communication between TRF7960A EVM and Samsung phone

1. I am having TRF7960A EVM only one board and planning to connect the board with my NFC enabled Samsung phone

2. I am using the two Apps "NFC tool" and "LEGIC NFC P2P Example" to view the data coming from the TRF7960A EVM

3. I am also using TRF7960A EVM GUI to simulate the data and the board TRF7960A EVM

Steps followed in GUI :

1. Click the NFC-PP tab.
2. Click Set Protocol.

3.Click Connect

Please verify if above steps is correct or not to send the data from TRF7960A EVM to Samsung mobile through NFC P2P

Hi Jeevan,

as I wrote in the other thread the TRF7960 will not support the P2P mode. If you need the P2P mode please use the TRF7970A BoosterPack with the Launchpad and the NFC GUI as described in the FAQ.

Hi Helfried,

can we see the NFC data coming from TRF7970A using the above GUI in NFC enabled smartphone like samsung using NFC android apps

Hi Jeevan,

I am not aware of any Android app that have that functionality. Analyzing the NFC communication will require engineering readers like the ones sold by Micropross.
