RF430FRL152H: RF430FRL152H - Timing parameter

Hello,

I want to read and write a TI tag (RF430FRL15HC) with our RFID reader. However, I have the problem that this does not adhere to the ISO/IEC 15693-3 standard.
The response to a read command is only after about 629us and not after 320us. If several read commands are sent within one second, then the tag responds after 320us.
When writing, the response always occurs after approx. 629us.
Is this still an error from the tag ?

Hi Michael,

are you using a custom board with the RF430FRL152H? I wonder about the behavior, that when sending several command in short time, the timing is correct. This could be a voltage that is pumping up. Can you please check if the capacitors used have the values as specified in the datasheet chapter 5.3:

I do not use a board, I got the tag from a customer
Designation on the tag:
55phi SP Tag-RF430FRL152HC
2116 02

When I send read commands in shirt time (<1s), the timing is correct. However, if I wait 2s, then the tag responds only after about 630us.

Hi Michael,

this must be a custom design because TI does not offer tags with the RF430FRL152H besides the Evaluation board RF430FRL152HEVM.

The customer should check his design if it complies to the recommended capacitor values.
