CC2510: CC2510 Wireless Link

Part Number: CC2510

Hello,

I have made a CC2510 module with Johanson Balun 2450BM15B0003. The two of my modules are able to communicate with each other. At 1 meter, RSSI = -42 dBm (With PIFA Antenna) as per TI design guidelines. But the module is not able to communicate with TI CC2510 module shipped with the Development Kit.

The TI chip EVK modules has is CC2510-F32 QP 5582.1 0803 and my modules are having chip CC2510-F32 TI 831 CSKT G4. Will that make any difference?

  • Hi,

Can you hook up your module with SmartRF studio?

Perhaps you can try the default RF configurations in the tool to communicate between your module and the EVK module?

    Regards

  • Hi,

I hooked up with both the modules to SmartRF studio. Below are the images of the modules I am using for testing. When I am using my module as a transmitter and TI module as a receiver, I am able to send the data. But when I am using my module as a receiver and TI module as a transmitter, the communication is not happening.

  • Hi,

you mentioned Johanson balun on your module but the picture doesn't show that.

Did you try various options in the Studio?

Can you try a higher data rate option in the the studio?

Also check if the frequencies are the same( within acceptable ppm) on both modules.

    Regards
