Hi,

I need to design a wireless charger transmitter to charge Qi-based devices. I need help in selecting components for it. It would be great if there is any reference design available to start with it.
I need a simple solution not very complex but able to charge the latest devices. I found a teardown of a Samsung wireless charger which looks very simple to design. I need something like that. But I also don't want to compromise functionality as well as the efficiency of the transmitter.

Sorry but our transmitters are Not Recommended for New Design (NRND) and cannot support 10W applications.

Thanks for the reply.
If they are not recommended as a reference design for Engineers or developers then what is their purpose. Also, what wattage wireless charger reference design is available?

Hello

Sorry but we do not have a 10W charger solution or reverence design that I would recommend. Our transmitter solutions are older WPC generation units and are not promoted or supported.

We have 5W RX units but they would not meet your 10W requirement.

So, the transmitter with the latest technology is only 5W at TI. I guess this one, you are talking about.

Can't we use it as a reference design to update it for 10W?

No -- This unit is NRND (BQ50002A / 511A) also and is older WPC generation standard.

No -- Cannot be updated to 10W
