CC2652P: Inquiry

Part Number: CC2652P
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSEMU110-U

Hi,

Good Day. I have a customer who is working with CC2652P. Please see below his query for your reference. Thank you very much.

I will bring a CC2652P RF-Chip (ZigBee) in the mode of permanenting sending, that I can set the frequency (lowest, middle and highest), the output power and modulated/unmodulated to perform RF-measurements according to EN 300328. Our developer told me, that it is possible, with the TMDSEMU110-U (XDS110 JTAG Debug Probe) and the software smart RF-studio7. Is that correct, or do I need another software for the debug probe. Is it possible with the probe to set the parameter that I want and that I can then remove the probe and that the RF-Chip send out permanently at this frequency?

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hi Ray,

Please refer to the SmartRF Studio Documentation.  Is is possible to enable continuous TX mode with any supported frequency band, TX power, and PHY.  However, this software does require an active debug connection in order to operate.  The CC2652P will not continue transmitting once the debug probe has been disconnected.  If you are unable to accommodate an active connection, you will need to develop firmware which can accomplish your requirements to be programmed on the CC2652P device.  You can start with rfPacketTx and other proprietary RF examples.  You can also review the SimpleLink Academy Labs to get started.

    Regards,
    Ryan
