TRF7970A: Power supply design

Hi Team

Customer plan to use a LDO to power TRF7970A. they wanna know the maximum supply current. Is it full power mode? 150mA ?

Hello Harry,

yes the 150mA is for the full power mode, as stated in the datasheet. If the customer wants to also supply an external IC via VDD_X, then this would come on top of the 150mA. Also I would recommend some margin for power-peaks. The TI reference design is using a TPS61222DCK with 400mA typical switching current.
