CC1101 FEC algoritm and Sync word?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1101

I am working with the CC1101 and have the following doubts.I will really appreciate if sopme one can help me out with this.

a. If synchronous mode is utilized, does the FEC algorithm encode the packet sync word as well?

b. Are there any spurs affecting the receiver in the 868-928 MHz band

Regds,

Mir

  • The sync word is not FEC encoded.

There are spurs at crystal frequency/2 * n, where n is an integer. I.e at 910 and 923 MHz when operating with a 26 MHz crystal. Avoid these two frequencies +/- 100 kHz (depends on RX filter BW) as there will be a sensitivity drop due to an increased noise floor.
