CC2531 Android Driver Request & SDK ?

I was wondering whether there was an Android virtual COM port driver for the CC2531 USB dongle?

I am looking to develop an Android application that utilises the TI ZigBee USB dongle.  I saw the press release

I am trying to find out what I need to buy to have an SDK to enable me to write an Android application using the TI ZigBee USB interface for a home automation application.  I think I might need one of these

but I could see no mention of Android and my target device is Android 
using the CC3531 dongle....I think!    Would it be possible to point me 
in the right direction - either which SDK and drivers I need to obtain or someone in tech support perhaps?

    I saw your post last week and I am really interested in developing an Android application that uses TI Zigbee module as well.

    Out of curiosity, did you find more information or received any response from TI ?.

    To use CC2531 usb dongle, you need to check if CDC driver is enabled on your Android system.

    Hi Jose,

    I am trying to implement CC2531 USB dongle RF4CE ZigBee to work in Android or Linux. 

    Did you find anything out there? I am still searching on this topic. 

    Please keep us in the picture and so do I. Hope we altogether make this working.

    Hi Zhi Yong Woo,

    So far, I haven't found anything else about the CC2531 USB dongle. It seems that it's not that popular and very dependent of model and version of the tablet.

    Nevertheless, I am looking for another solution that might be useful for you. It's more versatile and it can be used in different android devices.

    I thought of buying an Android ADK board (such as Arduino board, IOIO or seeeduino) and use it as a "bridge" between the tablet and other device you might want to use (in this case, the CC2531 or another Zigbee chip).

    I hope this information was useful.

    Meanwhile, I will search and look for more information.
