mmwaveicboost and gsm module

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWAVEICBOOST, AWR6843AOP

Hello everyone,

I am looking for gsm module compatible with mmwaveicboost development board. Is there any solution? My goal is that when mmwaveicboost (integrated awr6843aop) detects an object, it sends an info message or call to the driver's phone using the gsm module. How can I create this scenario? I would be happy to share any information regarding this. My goal is to find a gsm module compatible with the development board I have.

  • Hi Serhat,

We do not have a reference solution with GSM integrated. The AWR6843AOP data sheet outlines the exact peripherals available to the device (SPI, UART, I2C, GPIO, etc). You will likely have to refer to the hardware files to determine how to expose whatever peripheral you wish to use.

  • Hello Kevin,

Thanks for quick reply. I just be sure about it, Can I use mmwaveicboost development kit with other gsm module. For Example SIM800L gsm module. Both of them has a spi/uart communication protocols. Is there any constrain about using mmwaveicboost development kit with other gsm module ( SIM800L gsm module) which has no producted by Texas Instruments.

I'm considering these criterias, compatibility of  power consumption, compatibility of  communication protocol interface.

I am looking forward to your suggest.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Serhat,

No constraint as long as whatever peripheral you wish to use is configured properly.

    Best Regards,

    Kevin
