CC2530 Dual Power Supplies

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2530, CC2531, CC2540, TPS62730, CC2590

Has any one tried powering the CC2530, CC2531 or CC2540 with two supply levels, This used to be possible with the CC243x series. I'm asking as I would like to use the new  TPS62730 Low Power Step Down Converter with integrated Bypass function to power the CPU and RF Transceiver and CC2590 amp, but leave the GPIO operating at 3.0-3.3v.

The real question is how are the supply pin connected internally. The CC2530 Data sheet is very vague what each of the supply pins is actually connected to.
I assume from reading the sheet that AVDD1-4 and AVDD6 are supplying the t
ransceiver leaving AVDD5 as the ADC analog supply. DVDD2 obviously supplies the Digital GPIO rail. The mystery is around DVDD1. It  must supply  the CPU LDO due to the location of the DCOUPL pin, but what's unclear is whether this pin also supplies any of the Digital GPIO rail?

I'm thinking of splitting the supply pins as below

AVDD1-4   )
AVDD6         >  2.10V via the TPS62730
DVDD1      )

AVDD5      )
DVDD2      >  3.3V via LDO
                   )

Has anyone done this before with success and can confirm whether it works?
