Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRF7962, TRF7970A
A communication failure rarely occurs with the TRF7964ARHBT. (Communication is parallel)
This phenomenon will not occur again once communication has been successfully performed.
If a communication failure occurs, it will not recover even if it is initialized according to Section 6.11 TRF7964A Initialization.
It returns when Vin (2pin) is turned OFF and ON, but it is the same as the power supply to the MCU. (3.3V)
I don't want to cut off the power supply to the MCU, so I want to restore without turning Vin off and on.
In Figure 6-4, EN2 is 5ms and EN is 6ms from the rising edge of Vin.
EN2 is controlled by the MCU, but I don't plan to use it in sleep mode, so I'm thinking of fixing it to High.
I want Vin and EN2 to be a common 3.3V.
(1) Is there any problem if EN2 is less than 5ms from the rise of Vin?
(2) Since we do not want to turn off Vin, when initializing, EN will take 6ms or more from the rising edge of Vin. Is there any problem?
(3) When the initialization direct command (0x03) is executed,
It states that the initial register settings are different from the defaults at POR.
Apart from that, Table 6-14 describes Software initialization as Same as Power on Reset.
Is this wrong?
(4)At POR, is it when VIN (pin 2) changes from L to H?
Or when the Software Initialization (0x03) command is executed?
Please let me know about other things as well.
(5)Regulator and I/O Control Register (0x0B)
The default value is 0x87,
There is no table corresponding to 0x87 in Table6-36 of the data sheet (SLOS787J).
Can I consider 0x87 and 0x80 to be the same setting?
(Distinguished in Table 6-28 of TRF7962 datasheet SLOS757G)
(6)There is a track record of using the TRF7962, but such a problem did not occur.
The TRF7962 does not have any description about initialization. Why does the TRF7964A need to be initialized?
(7)According to Table6-16, ISO Control Register (0x01) will be 0x21.
It states that b5 must be 0. Why is it 0x21?
Regarding this, I confirmed in another chat that the TRF7964 is based on the TRF7970A.
Is it your perception that the TRF7970A system was used in a way that you didn't want?
(8) Do you have any reports or experience that the system does not return unless Vin is turned off and on?
I have a lot of questions, but thank you for your confirmation.
