RF37S114: Embedding solution for RFID on metal

We would like to embed the RF37S114 RFID tag as represented in the drawing above.

We know that the Tag is not special for on metal. Is there any chance that this would still work. reading distance can be very small for our application.

What could be the dimensions B adn D to have this work?
