How can I get firmware of CC DeBugger if I want to make CC Debugger by myself?

First,Can i copy the CC Debugger reference design?Is it legal?I do not sell anyone.I am just for study.If it is legal,can I get the firmware of CC Debugger if I copy the CC Debugger reference design of TI?Thanks in advance.

    Hi Stones,

     

    I'm not sure about the copying of schematics (actually I haven't found a reference design, only a schematic),

    but, the firmware can be obtained by downloading the smartRF flash programmer, there are several versions

    of compiled FW for different boards, such as the CC debugger and smartRF05EB. 

    Since you are using TI's products beside the CC debugger, downloading this SW can't be accounted as "illegal"

    as far as you don't distribute it commercially as your own solution.

     

    And some thought regarding the design, even by copying the schematic, doing the layout and producing your own

    PCB will probably cost you more (money+working hours) than buying the whole solution (CC debugger) from TI's

    distributors.

    I haven't seen it on TI website.

    You should probably ask distributors for such things,

    Or may be TI's application engineers...
