Biasing at CC259x antenna out

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2591

Hi all,

I know that the antenna of of CC259x (pin 11) should be connected to Vcc pin through Tline (inductor) in Tx mode so there is a DC net level in this pin.  Right?  How about the connection on Rx mode for LNA, is there a same DC level as Tx mode?  If then, a series capacitor needed to include in the matching for DC blocking application.  Right?

thanks.

  • I believe the CC2591 uses an internal inductor to Vdd and hence pin 11 should not be connected through an inductor to Vdd. Please refer to the datasheet (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cc2591.pdf) and reference designs (example http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra229a/swra229a.pdf) for details.
