I am confusing cuz the above behaviour isn't described on the user guide. I purchased the debugger just few months ago and suddenly it won't work.
What's wrong with my debugger and how can i solve it? A/S is the only solution?

Yes it sounds like the debug probe is not properly booting up. I believe it it continues to fail, it will eventually start up in safe mode.
