Hello,

I have several questions about usage of CC2431DK Development Kit. My life will become a little bit easier if somebody is able to help me :-)

1) CC2431DK Development Kit, User Manual Rev. 1.5 (SWRU076D document code) states on p. 10, section 6.1:

• Location engine example source code

Could somebody point me to this source code? I was not able to find it here: http://www.ti.com/product/cc2431#technicaldocuments and I was not able to find it here as well: http://www.ti.com/tool/z-stack

2) I have found the web page for CC2430 development kit: http://www.ti.com/tool/cc2430dk but not for CC2431 development kit. Is there any page dedicated to CC2431DK?

3) The web page above contains:
CC2430 Software Examples (Rev. F) (zip 743 KB)

Are these examples valid for CC2431DK as well?

Have you found the source code yet for the cc2431?

If so could you link it here or share it any other way?

We are no longer supporting the Location Engine service inside the CC2431, I am sorry for any inconvenience this might bring.

I am just curious, what is/was "location engine" and how it was working?

ele,

I am not too familiar with it as we do not support it, however I know it was based on RSSI and then some triangulation math. The issue with service is actually the 8051 MCU core inside the CC2430, it is too slow to run any kind of math. So what we added some logic and called it "location engine", it was more like a math co-processors and some firmware to run the triangulation algorithm. The method was based on Trilateration.
