I work on the CC2480+CC2591 project. I try to follow the layout of CC2430+CC2591 Evaluation Module (swra214) as close as it is possible. But there are some differences between my schematic circuit and the schematic of Evaluation Module. My project implies using the outer antenna + chip antenna instead of the outer antenna + F antenna as on EVM. Can you give any recommendation of placing the chip antenna?

From there, you can look for some of the other reference designs (even for other 2.4 GHz parts) that use chip antennas and see how they are implimented. Copy that part of the layout would be best, be sure the antenna you choose can handle the extra power of the CC2591.
