ZigBee Prozessor with Loacation Engine

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2431

Hi,

is there a ZigBee processor with the location engine similiar to the CC2480 on the roadmap? That would be an interessting thing.

  • Care to share why it would be interesting? Do you see a lot of interest for something like this?
Unfortunately we do not have this on the roadmap at the present time, but we'd be interested in knowing if there is significant
    interest.

  • I'll second the motion so to speak.  I think the 2480 + Location Engine sounds like a good thing.

Z - if this isn't on the roadmap - can you share what is?

    Thanks,
    johnw

Currently we use a CC2480 to get into the ZigBee technology. We developed a evaluation board with our own host-mikrocontroller and hardware. We are also interested in testing the location engine with the CC2431. For us it would be nice if there is an easy api like the CC2480 has. So it would be easy to integrate the location to our applications.

I think the easy way to integrate ZigBee into available own products is a aim for other customers. I think that the big point with the CC2480 is the thing, that i could use any mikrocontroller and the stack is inside the the ZigBee prozessor.

I don`t have to buy a new compiler, because i can use the compiler which i have. I knew that there is an evaluation version of the IAR compiler.

Maybe other user in this community would point there opinions.
