Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2430, CC2431
Hi everyone,
We are developing a board prototype using a CC2430 chip. We've soldered all the parts needed to make the chip work and the chip is correctly feeded. We´re using the internal oscillator, because to enable the external oscillator, we have to enter debug mode to flash a code into the chip.
Following the instructions to enter the debug mode using a SmartRF04EB, the correct initialization sequence of bits on the 3 pins (reset, clok and data) are correct. But when the SmartRF04EB ask for the chip ID (sending 0x68), the chip does not send any reply.
Anybody has a clue of what is going on?
AND
- GND
- VDD *FROM* the external target to feed the level converter on the SOC_DEM
- DC
- DD
- Reset_N
Note however that this pin (pin 2) is not used for _powering_ your external target. For this you can use pin 9 or any of the "3.3 V" pins on I/O header P10 or P11.
but the some, AND CC2431 EM PCB CADFILES , PLASE HELP ME.

Hi guys,
Thank you both!
After renfab said he had the same problem, I decided to test my board once again. But now, I checked the pin 2 on P14 and saw that its voltage level didn't reach 2V!
Then I wired it up directly to a 3.3V point, and it worked!
The problem was in the board track that connects the pin 2 to a 3.3V point.
