hi everyone,

im trying to read the register value of cc1101 using msp430(spi)

when im using single byte access & sending a dummy variable im getting 0x0f i.e the status of chip status byte agian

in burst access, im getting chip status signal byte and after that a value of 0x01

the configured value of register is 0xf5

Hi,

msp430x5438 experimental board . its showing status registers perfectly i dont think its due to soldering

How is the SPI signal intergrity, are the signals noisy? I do unfortunately not have other suggestions than the above. But please verify grounding, the symptom you're explaining (0x0f returned) has in similar cases been due to poor ground connection on the bottom side ground pad.

Edit: If you have another experimenter board or another CC1101 chip, try to swap them around to see whether the issue is related to the one CC1101 chip or the experimenter board.

thanks for the help actually im facing another problem during pll calibration test i'm using ports interrupts of msp430 so that when taht whenever int is generated it will go to the pll isr but the flsg of the port reg is setting before the port ie &ies are enabled ?
