CC Debugger interface problem with IAR EW8051-ver7.51A

Hi Gentlemen,

I am facing problem with ccdebugger during entering debug mode. I am using IAR EW8051 ver 7.51A network based license. The warning message pop on my screen is : "Target Selection" Note: A target can not be slected when used in another debus session or in another application.

I have gone through the another posts in TIe2e and applied all the solutions like update patches and all but problem is still there.

In order to cross verify CCDebugger I have have installed same IAR EW8051on another machine and used the same debugger and it is working fine there. As i have to work on my machine i need to make it work here. Here I am not sure about problem, whether it is with IAR or CCDebugger.

So could you help me out to get rid of this problem.

Is the "Target selection" box empty?

HI,

Yes, "Target Selection " Box is empty. Also I have installed all the patches as you suggested but problem is there. I have purchased this IAR EW8051 last month .

Contradiction is that I have installed same IAR version on another machine where it is working fine.

1) Is the CC debugger showing up in the Windows Device Manager (under Cebal controlled devices)?

2) What version of the CC Debugger driver are you using (should be 2.50.0)?

3) If you download e.g. the SmartRF Flash Programmer, does it detect your CC Debugger?

Yes I am able to program IC through Smart RF Flash Programmer.

You must update IAR 7.51 with all the patches (especially patch M is important). The patches are available from iar.com. Try to reboot your computer and try again.

If this does not work, you can try to roll back the CC debugger driver to version 2.0.0. How to do this is shown in the CCxxxx Development tools USB driver installation guide application note (swra366).

Hi TIABO,

Thanks a lot for your support. I got resolved the problem . It was due to CCDebugger's drivers. After installing "cebal version 2.0.0" I am able to debug my code properly
