Problem with Acces point and CC3000 configuration

Hi. I am Swetha, Graduate student.

I am using MSP430FR5739. I configured my Access point as directed in the TP-LINK auto run DVD.

Now i was confused with First Time configuration with CC3000 and my TP-LINK-XXXXXX (SSID) Access point. Do i need to setup again a new network as given in the below website?

Now, i have downloaded CC3000 FRAM Sensor Application Demo and installed as given in the instructions. When i started CC3000 FRAM Sensor.GUI, it gives me COM PORT timed out and the application exits.

Could you please help me with the exact setup to associate AP with FRAM kit.
